Comfort

I just love that crisp, cool, damp air in the morning. It enlivens me.

In my last post, I talked about the calendula flower. It represents comfort, healing, protection, and grace.

Today I want to focus on comfort.

Comfort is a state of physical ease. Cozy, easy, restful, snug. Snug as a bug in a rug! This time of year finds us getting ready to make our cocoon.

Comfort is also the act or words that bring relief from grief or trouble.

Today, my question for you is twofold:

How can you bring comfort to others - or just one person - who is experiencing grief or trouble?

And second, in what ways do you comfort yourself? The music you like, the smells of autumn, the breeze that is upon us.

What will you do today to bring comfort to yourself?

Wrap yourself in the comfort of autumn. Breathe in “Oh well,” and exhale “so what.” Enjoy the serenity you find today.
