Share Your Colors

It’s October! Do you see the steam when you take a deep breath outside? You can in the mornings where I live!

Did you know?

… on the ancient Roman calendar, October was the EIGHTH month? You see that wonderful little “oct” in October, which is from Latin for the number eight. Fast forward to

… when the Romans converted to a twelve-month calendar, they tried to change the name. They tried various Roman emperors, but the October name stuck.

… every year October ends on the same day of the week as February.

… the traditional flower calendula symbolizes comfort, healing, protection, and grace.

October is about trees revealing colors they’ve hidden all year.

People have an October, as well.

Today’s self-care challenge is to share a color.

Breathe in the crisp coolness of the day and surround yourself with comfort, healing, protection, and grace.
